Feldenkrais is a unique and holistic movement therapy named after its inventor, Dr Moshe Feldenkrais absolute GENIUS, Israeli judo master, internationally renowned physicist, author and educator.
Feldenkrais is a method of improving the body’s ability to function, learn, and change by increasing awareness of movement, posture, and breathing.
“My purpose is to allow people to move closer to actually being creatures of free choice, to genuinely reflect individual creativity and emotion, freeing the body of habitual tensions and wired-patters of behaviour so that it may respond without inhibition to do what the person wants”
Feldenkrais is ultimately a method of becoming aware of what you are not aware of . Many people are mystified by their own pain, muscular discomfort or lack of coordination. Problems are often blamed on joint structures, muscle integrity and thoughts like “everyone in my family has terrible posture” “I’ve walked like this all my life” or “I’ve just got to live with it”.
Moshe Feldenkrais believed that we all hold extraordinary capacities.
All we need is the proper method and a little application to unlock our full potential.
Movement, according to Feldenkrais, is the most important key.
